The IAAF Track and Field Championships were originally held every four years but this changed in 1991 and they are now held every other year around the globe. The 2011 IAAF World Championships in Daegu, South Korea, will be particularly exciting as it will be less than a year away from the 2012 Summer Games in London, when many of these athletes will meet again.
Ludus Tours has created tour packages for this year’s World Championships in South Korea for track & field fans to join together with other international enthusiasts to root for their favorite track stars. The event is expected to draw in over 2,000 of the world’s top athletes from 212 Member Federations to compete for the gold at the Daegu Stadium.
