The IAAF World Junior Championships in Athletics is a global competition for the top track and field performers 19 years and younger. The event has been held biennially since its inception in 1986 (Athens). Eugene 2014 marks the first time the IAAF World Junior Championships has been held in the United States and the first IAAF event held on U.S. soil since 1992!
The World Junior Championships is the coming-out party for many of the world's future Olympic medalist. Super star athletes such as Allyson Felix, Jesse Williams, Sanya Richards and Usain Bolt, have all made their global debuts in this very meet!
